A Lincoln High School student was arrested Tuesday and charged with having a handgun-style pellet gun on school property, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.

This is at least the 10th incident of a student bringing some kind of weapon to campus in the 2021-2022 school year.

The 16-year-old student was seen with the pellet gun at Tom Brown Park at 11:30 a.m. at lunch time. When he returned to school campus, a school resource deputy took the pellet gun from the student’s car, according to a press release.
